When you tune to Hitz.FM, you’ll hear Moves Like Jagger. When you tune to Fly.FM, you’ll hear Stereo Love. Aren’t you sick of it? Suddenly listening to Ada Lembu Nak Jaga is far more interesting. To put this matter worse, I’ve once listened Justin Bieber’s Baby on 3 different Malaysian radio stations, at the same time! Holy crap, how ridiculous is that.

Formed in 2009, elegant and enigmatic HURTS have their sharp suits, slick hair and stark visuals. Theo and Adam present a striking contrast to the glow-in-the-dark pop stars who have run amok across the charts of late.
2. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Spread Your Love
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is a rock band from San Francisco, United States now based in Los Angeles. The band formed in 1998, influenced by much classic rock music of the past six decades, particularly the Jesus and Mary Chain and Love and Rockets. Their style also encompassed slower-paced grooves influenced by shoegaze.
3. One Night Only – Say You Don’t Want It
Formed in 2003, One Night Only started out as a bunch of school friends ‘just making noise’ in their rural hometown of Helmsley, North Yorkshire. They went on to spend the following two years tearing the vaulted roof off the local scene with unrefined gigs showcasing punk bastard pop way beyond their tender years.
4. Two Door Cinema Club – What You Know
Two Door Cinema Club are an electropop/alternative band from Bangor and Donaghadee, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom formed in 2007. The band consists of Alex Trimble (vocals, guitar), Kevin Baird (bass, vocals) and Sam Halliday (guitar, vocals). The band does not have a permanent drummer, but they have been touring with drummer Benjamin Thompson.

Cansei de Ser Sexy (commonly known as CSS) is a band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2003. The band name is Portuguese for “Tired of Being Sexy” (taken from something Beyoncé once commented to the press: “I am tired of being sexy”).
6. Babyshambles – Delivery
Babyshambles are a band formed in London, England by Peter Doherty (Pete) as a side-project to (and later full time after departing) The Libertines. The band’s first single, Babyshambles, was released in April 2004 on High Society Records. Fewer than 1,000 copies of the CD and 7″ were released and both can now be found changing hands for more than £50 on internet auction sites such as eBay.
7. Arctic Monkeys – The View From The Afternoon
Arctic Monkeys are an alternative rock band formed in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England in 2002 after meeting at Stocksbridge High School. The band consists of Alex Turner (vocals, guitar), Jamie ‘Cookie’ Cook (guitar), Nick O’Malley (bass) and Matt Helders (drums, vocals). Founding bassist Andy Nicholson left in 2006.

Bright Eyes is a band consisting mainly of American singer, guitarist, and songwriter Conor Oberst. Bright Eyes also features multi-instrumentalist/producer Mike Mogis, keyboard player Nate Walcott and a rotating lineup of collaborators drawn primarily from Omaha, Nebraska, and the United States’ indie music scene. Having been deeply influenced early on by singer-songwriters David Dondero and Simon Joyner, Conor Oberst has been recording music since the age of 13.
